About the Event
The American Hungarian Library and Historical Society (New York) is looking for a precise and dedicated volunteer to help preserve a vital piece of history: the American press coverage of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
The Task: Professional scanning of approximately 100 high-priority microfiche sheets. The goal is to create high-quality digital assets (TIFF format) that will serve as the foundation for our upcoming AI-assisted processing and translation workflow.
Who are we looking for?
Someone for whom quality and accuracy are top priorities
Experience (or a strong affinity) with specialized scanners or microfilm readers is a plus
An interest in digital work and historical materials
