About the Event
On March 5, the group will discuss András Visky’s book Kitelepités (Deportation). The book is rooted in Visky’s childhood experience of being deported with his mother and six older siblings to a remote gulag in 1950s Romania, while their father was a political prisoner elsewhere.Â
The reader gains insight into the daily life of a Romanian labor camp modeled after the Soviet system.
